Anixa develops immune-based therapies with two programs in the clinic — engineered T-cells that are treating patients with recurrent and refractory ovarian cancer, and a vaccine designed to treat and prevent breast cancer.

Reprogramming a patient's own cells to attack cancer.
CAR-T (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell) reprograms a patient's own T-cells to hunt tumors. Anixa's lead program, lira-cel, brings that approach to a solid tumor — recurrent ovarian cancer — using FSHR (Follicle Stimulating Hormone Receptor) as a target and delivering the cells directly to the disease.
- Proven in blood cancers. CAR-T is FDA-approved for B-cell leukemias and lymphomas, targeting the CD-19 protein.
- The solid-tumor challenge. Solid tumors have lacked a clean surface target — the gap Anixa’s lead program addresses.
- Anixa’s lead: Lira-cel. An FSHR-targeted CAR-T for ovarian cancer, delivered into the abdominal cavity, in Phase 1 with positive survival observations reported.

A different kind of vaccine.
Anixa's breast cancer vaccine trains the immune system to recognize a “retired” protein — one the body makes only at certain times, that reappears in cancer. The aim is both to treat disease and, one day, to prevent it. The breast cancer vaccine has completed Phase 1.
- Breast cancer vaccine. Targets alpha-lactalbumin; completed Phase 1 and advancing toward Phase 2.
- Treatment and prevention. Studied to treat cancer, prevent recurrence in survivors, and lower risk in high-risk individuals.
